Here are George and Gracie LIVE in four incredibly rare kinescope performances. These shows aired once, and were never rerun again!
1. OCTOBER 12, 1950: Here it is - the VERY FIRST TELEVISION PERFORMANCE of George and Gracie. George introduces the cast to the audience. Hal March and Bea Benaderet appear as the Mortons. Bill Goodwin announces. All original Carnation commercials are intact. This is a real collector's item!
2. APRIL 12, 1951: Gracie entertains a visiting teenage relative, and George can't get used to the current young fads. Bea Benaderet and John Brown appear as the Mortons; all commercials are intact.
3. OCTOBER 23, 1951: Gracie has the monthly meeting of her Beverly Hills Uplifting Society at her house; George wants no part of this cackling bunch of frumps and cronies. Bea Benaderet and Fred Clark appear as the Mortons; original commercials are included.
4. FEBRUARY 18, 1952: Gracie falls down in a dept. store, and the owners fear that she'll sue them.

240 THE BURNS AND ALLEN SHOW, II (1950/1952)

More live fun with George and Gracie. All shows on this tape contain original Carnation commercials. Not seen in 40 years!
1. NOVEMBER 2, 1950: The bank tries to explain to Gracie that her checking account is overdrawn, but somehow she doesn't understand!
2. NOVEMBER 16, 1950: Bob Sweeney is seen as a tax auditor who's assigned to monitor Gracie!
3. MAY 30, 1952: Gracie's nieces pay a visit to the Burns household, just in time to keep George from writing a speech.
4. JULY 2, 1952: It's time for Gracie to renew her driver's license, so heaven help the DMV!

257 THE BURNS AND ALLEN SHOW, III (1951/52)

The first three contain original commercials!
1. JANUARY 4, 1951: Gracie has the word "party" circled on her calendar, and assumes she's having a party for George; she's knows it's not his birthday; so she creates a day for him. Watch for a surprise ending featuring a very special guest star! This episode is the first to star John Brown in the role of Harry Morton. George breaks character to introduce him. (Note: sound is a bit scratchy.)
2. AUGUST 2, 1951: The girls go on a health kick and decide to serve nothing but fruits and vegetables. George and Harry (played by Fred Clark) are not happy.
3. SEPTEMBER 13, 1951: Gracie throws a wedding at the Burnses' for a friend's daughter, and drives the caterer, the florist, the participants, and all else crazy in the process. Once again, George stops the action and introduces Harry Von Zell as the show's new announcer!
4. 1952: A studio wants to produce a film on the lives of George and Gracie - that is, until Gracie gets involved!

All shows are complete with original commercials and have not been seen in over 50 years!
1. "RHUMBA LESSONS" (12/28/50), the first show broadcast live from Hollywood. The women enroll the men in a dance class. The men fake backaches...until they get a look at the instructor!
2. "TOO MUCH OF THE MORTONS" (7/5/51). George's plan to trick the Mortons into going out of town so he and Gracie can have a weekend alone backfires, thanks to Gracie.
3. "GRACIE'S RING" (3/13/52). Gracie loses her engagement ring. George finds it and decides to teach her a lesson. But somehow he winds up being the "pupil".
4. "JACK BENNY STEALS GEORGE'S JOKE" (4/24/52). Gracie tries to get George and guest star Jack Benny to be friends again after they return from a benefit where Jack tells the audience a joke and George unknowingly follows Jack on stage afterward and tells the same joke.

1. "HADLEY THE ACCOUNTANT" (3/1/51). It's tax time at the Burns household, and the tax man must make sense of Gracie�s bookkeeping! Joseph Kearns guest stars.
2. "THE FOOTBALL GAME" (10/25/51). Discovering that she has extra tickets for a big game that night, Gracie decides to scalp them...and sells them to a policeman, who promptly arrests her and lives to regret it!
3. "NEW DRESSES FOR THE CONCERT" (12/6/51). The men flatly refuse to buy the women new dresses, but when Harry thinks George has bought one anyway for Gracie, he buys one for Blanche. Then the fun begins.
4. "TRIP TO PALM SPRINGS" (2/28/52). Blanche wants to accompany George and Gracie on their trip to Jack Benny�s home in Palm Springs, but Harry won�t let her go. So Blanche pretends to be sick to trick him into letting her ride along.

1. "GRACIE'S DAY IN COURT" (3/29/51). Gracie witnesses an auto accident caused by a tough gangster (guest star Sheldon Leonard). His attorneys visit Gracie before the trial and attempt to persuade her not to testify. Good luck.
2. "VAUDEVILLE REMINISCES" (4/10/52). Take a stroll down memory lane with George and Gracie as they talk about old times to a producer making a documentary movie about Vaudeville.
3. "THE NEW DESK" (7/3/52). George buys a new "secretarial desk" and when Gracie finds out, she thinks George is buying expensive gifts for his new secretary. She hires a private detective to spy on George, but he spies on Harry Morton instead. Confused? Join the club!
4. "GEORGE MAKES A RECORD" (7/17/52). A record company executive mistakes Gracie as the wife of a famous singer. The trouble is, according to Gracie, she IS married to a famous singer, and promises to deliver him pronto.

1. "GRACIE REDECORATES" (5/8/52). Gracie wants to redecorate the house, so she hatches a scheme to get George to go fishing by convincing him that Blanche and Harry are the ones who are redecorating. Joseph Kearns guest stars in this live kinescope.
2. "MUSICAL CON MEN" (6/19/52). Harry Von Zell invests $5000 in a new musical orchestrated by a couple of slick con men. Harry gets George to reimburse him by telling George that he will have the starring role in the play. Another live kinescope.
3. THE GEORGE BURNS SHOW (11/18/58). This series picks up where the Burns & Allen Show left off, but without Gracie. In the first format of the program, shot on film as a sitcom, George is convinced producers want him to do a walk on in their new movie. But it turns out they really want Ronnie.
4. THE GEORGE BURNS SHOW (1/20/59). The sitcom format above didn�t work, so the show went to a live variety format in January of 1959. The same cast appears, but this time in sketches and music. George�s guest in this show is Eddie Fisher.

732 THE BURNS AND ALLEN HOLIDAY HOUR

Join George Burns and Gracie Allen in two holiday-oriented shows that have not been seen since their original broadcasts! Both programs contain original commercials.
1. "THANKSGIVING SHOW" (11/22/51). George and Gracie are having a Thanksgiving dinner at their home...but not before Gracie causes trouble between Blanche and Harry - he�s betting on horses but Gracie thinks he�s been unfaithful to Blanche.
2. THE GEORGE BURNS SHOW (12/23/58) - "La Vie en Rose". Gracie retired at the end of the 1957/58 season, but George decided to continue the show without her. It�s essentially the same show, except now the emphasis is on George, who runs a talent agency, and Blanche (Bea Benaderet) is his secretary. Harry Von Zell, Larry Keating and Ronnie Burns all co-star, continuing their roles from the original series. In this episode, as Christmas draws near, Von Zell and Blanche decide to butter George up so they�ll get nice gifts, while George tries to keep one of his working clients from returning to France for the holidays.
